Sonocaddie V300 Review : Another top-end golf GPS caddie that I highly recommend. In fact out of all the golf caddies I have reviewed this has to be my favourite. You will have to download the course you are going to be playing on; but this is very easy to do and the first 5 courses you download are free and there is a one-off fee for a lifetime membership. Sonocaddie v300 has been around for a long time now and still wins rave reviews. the Sonocaddie V300 still stands up to the newer v350 model and if you are only going to use it in the UK it is free to download courses and you can store up to 30; moreover if you want to download a course from around the world it will cost you £3 per course.
With a multitude of features including shot distance measuring and tracking, digital scorecard and also helps your game with an excellent game analysis feature. As you would expect the V300 can calculate the distance from any point on the course to the green or any other target. You don’t even need a clear line of sight! I really like the analytic capabilities of this device, the V300 will store every shot in your round together so you can retrace your game at a later date.

Here are some Sonocaddie V300 reviews from current owners
I recommend Sonocaddie v300. I have tried other golf gps systems and I play off 13.
Good Points
- Great colour screen.
- Good compact design.
- You can check a course is available before purchase.
- I registered with Soncaddie online and got access to all UK courses free!
- Subcription fees are cheap in comparison to other brands.
- Software was easy to install.
- Local course layout was accurate.
- Best feature of the Sonocadiie is the ability to customise course layout.
- Track score, shots and my movements when required.
- making discoveries I didn’t know about my course.
Bad Points
1. The layouts are general.
2. when at the back or side of the green the Sonocaddie V300 will not change the direction of the green.(not a major problem.)
Sonocaddie v300 is great fun to use. I prefer not paying lots of money to play a different course and ruin the day with ill-judged shots. The Sonocaddie v300 is not faultless on a new course but a few manual changes on the first round will sort that out.
By Mr G.M. Gildody(Sonocaddie V300 review)
I have owned a Sonocaddie V300 for 5 months and have used it frequently over that period at around twenty courses. After some ribbing from my friends about unfair advantage; it wasn’t long before they were pleading for me to give them the distance. My companion finally purchased a Skycaddie, but it does not come close to my Sonocaddie, and I don’t have to pay for download fees.
On first using this unit I walked three different courses and was pleased with how accurate the yardage was and still continues to be. I have complete confidence in whatever distance my Sonocaddie gives me now. I thoroughly recommend The Sonocaddie V300.
